It is ten years since Oliver’s stunning debut How To Catch a Star first captured the imagination of booklovers everywhere. It has become a multiple award winning international bestseller and a modern classic. And now there’s a new beautiful book out by Oliver: Once Upon An Alphabet. It explores the alphabet in 26 short stories – one for every letter.
The Southbank Centre has put Oliver Jeffers at the heart of their programming this autumn. There are a number of prestigious events on 1st and 2nd November, including a chance to hear Oliver in conversation with Sir Quentin Blake. The Way Back Home comes to the stage in a special collaboration between Denmark’s Teater Refleksion and Northern Irish company Branar. The Discover Children’s Story Centre in Stratford is currently running a year long Oliver Jeffers Installation, bringing his picture books to life, enabling children to walk through each of his books and become immersed in Oliver’s worlds.
