Conference 2017 bookings are now open…

LP Student logo FINALBookings are now open for the 2017 Federation Conference in Reading, whose theme Write Around the World encompasses translation, Canadians, Italians and stories from across countries, genres and reading media.

The conference will be opened by historian and TV presenter Lucy Worsley, followed by performance poet A.F. Harrold, who is guaranteed to keep everyone up until the wee hours.

The Saturday programme is also full of treats with Gala Dinner speaker current Children’s Laureate, Chris Riddell, plus writer, editor and translator, Daniel Hahn, hosting a panel on books in translation, Giancarlo Gemin, Martin Brown and Literacy and Technology Consultant, Bev Humphrey, on ‘Digital Storytelling’.

Sunday promises a fascinating conversation about Barrington Stoke’s ‘Bucket List’,  chaired by M.D., Mairi Kidd, plus sessions with small publishers Alanna Books  and Book Island.

Other delights in store include Cailan Smith, D.J. Brazier, Jo Cotterill and John Walter.
