How to find out about local book events for children, and how to spread the word about your local CBG events

http://www.bookeventsforchildren.co.uk/ is a website which collates inspiring book-related activities for children across the UK and shares them via an easy-to-use calendar.

bookevents

You can search for events by type, or by region, and local Children’s Book Groups might also wish to consider submitting their own events for inclusion. For inclusion in the calendar, the events must be open to the public. Although the site focuses on events for children, adult events about writing/illustrating for children or any writing/illustrating competitions too can also be submitted.

You can keep up to date with Book Events for Children on twitter @ChildBookEvents, and also on Facebook.

You could also find it in the events pages of your local family magazines. It’s worth to check several (or bookmark their websites) because lots of events would be different, i.e. they don’t publish all the events.
