Celebrating the Red House Children's Book Award with a party to thank all those who have taken part this year with Author/illustrator Rebecca Elliott (Just Because, Sometimes, Zoo Girl and Milo's Pet Egg) who worked with the children for two sessions and inbetween they enjoyed party refreshments They all left very happy clutching a party bag and their signed books!

The Federation has WON the Eleanor Farjeon Award 2011 given for distinguished service to the world of children’s books, to a person or an organisation whose commitment and contribution is deemed to be outstanding.
The winning of this award is a tribute to the selfless hard work and dedication of everyone who has been part of the Federation over all the years and for the work in the groups, in schools, libraries and within families to share the joy of books and reading with children across the country.
