The 2nd week on the Red House Children’s Book Award Blog Tour

It’s been another busy week on the Red House Children’s Book Award blog tour!

  • On Monday we visited Library Mice, who not only has an exclusive extract of the opening chapter of Gangsta Granny but is also hosting an amazing giveaway of David Walliams’ goodies. The giveaway is still open, and all you need to do is leave a comment on the blog. You could win a selection of books, audiobooks, a goody bag and more!

  • On Tuesday we visited Playing by the Book to find out more about the books which have made a big impression on Elen Caldecott, and which have influenced her becoming a writer. You can be in with a chance of winning a copy of Elen’s shortlisted book, Operation Eiffel Tower, simply by leaving a comment on the blog post.

  • On Wednesday The Little Wooden Horse hosted Jonathan Meres, who wrote a funny piece about the name Norm.

  • On Thursday Girls Heart Books hosted Suzanne LaFleur who wrote about her characters, which one she’d most like to be, and which one she is most like.

  • And today, Friday, if you head on over to Mr Ripleys Enchanted Books you can read about Sophie McKenzie’s inspiration for The Hit Squad.

  • Thanks to all the blogs and authors who were involved this week!

Next week we wrap up our blog tour with posts on the Red House blog, and back here for a final hurrah with an amazing giveaway involving all the shortlisted books plus the chance to win tickets to the award ceremony next February.
